A Woman Imprisoned – by Kuniharu Akiyama’s Poetry for a Tape Recorder

An electro-musical score created from a poem by AKIYAMA Kuniharu – an artist belonging to Jikken Kobo, an avant-garde art group – that formed part of A Woman Imprisoned, a mixed-media work including poetry produced in 1953. Composed mainly of stereo sound, this work was created with the objective of re-evaluating the gaze of pioneers in electronic music who explored new forms of representation using recording and playback technology.
