Comic of Semba Center Bldg.

An essay manga based on the artist’s personal experiences. After a sudden onset of depression and months of treatment, the artist receives a request to illustrate manga for the Semba Center Building, a commercial complex in Osaka’s Chuo Ward. The artist’s experiences inside and outside the facility and visiting its various shops, including textile wholesalers, restaurants, and import markets, are limned with line drawings and quiet commentary.
