Either/or

This short video expresses the artist’s vague sense of uneasiness or fear. An old elevator moving on its circular track without stopping at any floors is accompanied by an impassive voice reading a passage from Kierkegaard’s Either/Or (1843). The artist was reminded of Nietzsche’s vicious circle when she saw this elevator at a language school in Copenhagen, which led her to think about Kierkegaard’s essay The Concept of Anxiety (1844).
