GONDO Ukon and his friend USHIYAMA, out- laws who exist on the lowest rungs of society, discover a mysterious old robot at an aban- doned factory. This story portrays the two men and the robot as they go about their erce and strange, yet sad days. This work ran from 1991 to 1993, and together with being adapted as a live-action movie in 2018, has been repub- lished as a new edition.
