Paper waste Toy AMARIKKO

The 4.66 million tons of scrap paper generated annually by the printing industry is repurposed as a toy. AI that learned 23 animal shapes identifies the similarities between the animal and scrap shapes, and a special printer and laser cutter automatically positions and processes the animal patterns. Adding new value to scrap materials, this work provides opportunities for children to learn creative playing and the importance of resources.
