The Terminal for Pilgrimage

This is an experimental work that presents us with the emergence of a new encounter between human beings and cities by creating original portraits of people who visit photo booths on the streets in a hot spring resort. Only the face and fragments of the background can be shot. When a person has visited all the booths, the portrait is completed. The image into which a subject’s face is synthesized can not only be downloaded from the Web, but also projected onto a giant screen in the town.
