Outline
There were Shinto and Inari shrines in my neighborhood, and I saw some Torii (gateway at the shrine’s entrance) in some places. I had long become accustomed to seeing them, but I realized that they actually have a mysterious form. Imagining that the Torii could have a long history that changes in both shape and meaning, I suddenly became very interested in it. I decided to draw a manga about it and finished it in one breath.
