A report by the Roundtable Conference on Multimedia Audiovisual Art of the Advisory Committee for the Promotion of Cultural Policy “On the Promotion of New Media Arts for the 21st Century” was presented to the Commissioner of the Agency for Cultural Affairs. One of the measures it proposed was to hold“a ‘Media Arts Festival’ as a forum for presenting, honoring, and appreciating works of new Media Arts.”
