HIGASHIMURA Akiko

Born in 1975 in Miyazaki Prefecture. Manga artist. Learned oil paining at the Kanazawa College of Art. In 1999, she debuted with Fruit koumori (Fruit bat) [Shueisha]. Major works include Mama ha tenparist (My mother is tenparist) [Shueisha] and Kurage-hime (Princess Jellyfish) [Kodansha]. Current serialization is Bisyoku-tantei Akechi Kogoroh (Gourmand detective Akechi Kogoroh) on Cocohana [Shueisha].
