Born in Hokkaido, Japan in 1973. Manga artist. Aimed to become a manga artist while attending university at Musashino Art University. After serving as an assistant, debuted with Weekly Young Sunday. His first serialized work Umizaru is about the life drama of a young navy officer. Currently, the awarded Black Jack ni Yoroshiku appears serially in Weekly Morning magazine. This is his third serialization.
