GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX

This is a completely original television series which follow the comics by Mr. Masamune Shiro and the big-screen animation by director Mamoru Oshii, both of which were highly praised overseas. From the time the production was announced, it drew considerable attention because people wondered what type of work would be completed by director Kenji Kamiyama and his surrounding younger staff members. Although the unique world view, common to both the original work and Mr. Oshii’s work, has been omitted, the work is compensated by catering to the audience of the television series and thus making it more entertaining and easy to understand. The new character, “Motoko Kusanagi ” should also be appealing to the ardent fans.
