A Giant Warrior Descends on Tokyo

The Giant Warrior, a monstrous humanoid bioweapon that appears in Hayao MIYAZAKI’s classic animated film Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, appears in contemporary Tokyo and proceeds to wreak havoc. All this is accomplished through traditional special effects in this short video work created for the exhibition Director Hideaki Anno’s “T’okusatsu’ Special Effects Museum” with an eye to conveying the magic of SFX techniques of years gone by.
