Reason for Award
A gag manga with an earthy, provocative style. The most representative sample is the seventh story in the series,the tale of a high school girl who goes to class in the nude. The final gag evokes the fate of all women;in other words,it has the whiff of true literature. This is a kind of artistic expression that can onlybe allowed because its “just” manga, or perhaps is only possible because its manga. The leaps of imagination and carefully calculated flow of the panels reveal this artist’s extraordinary talents.
