An Example For A Certain Extent

Installation [Japan]

SAKAGAWA Kohta

Outline

A cloth tied to two rotating motors slackens and causes tension repeatedly. In this process, the action responds to expansion and contraction, as well as to the vibration of the supporting cables, and seems to hint that the next step may involve the danger of collapse. Even though the mechanism is extremely simple, the space is transformed into a sense of structural fracture or dislocation.
