Angel Beats! is an original animation created by MAEDA Jun, an immensely popular scenario writer for ADV games, who also wrote the screenplay for the series. The story takes place in a high school that acts as a Purgatory inhabited by students who have died without realizing the dreams of their teenage years. Girls vow to take revenge on God for the cruel fates they were cursed with. Angel Beats! is a story of the bravery and determination of young boys and girls who face fate in their afterlife.
