A child among the Baku people, Baku-chan immigrates from the planet Baku to Earth and comes to live with a little human girl named Hana. Baku-chan starts his new and exciting life in Tokyo cheerfully and bravely, experiencing many (if not most) things for the first time. Reflecting the artist’s experiences in Canada, this socially cognizant adventure tale depicts many scenarios and sentiments shared by immigrants around the world—our world.
