Central to this blockchain-based work is a crypto mining platform with GPU units hacked to recover waste heat and fuel little cars, whilst cryptocurrency is mined. Featuring the car as a status symbol of modernity, the work explores how the computational process and computing power involved in the mining process of cryptocurrencies can be deployed in the urban and social fabric, within the context of today’s environmental challenges.
