DAZAI Short Stories RUN Melos

Osamu DAZAI’s novel RUN Melos, a national classic. Melos runs in order to save the life of a friend who continues to believe in him and refuses to betray him, and in order to satisfy a distrustful king. The text written by DAZAI which remains fresh even 100 years after the writer’s birth has been transformed by shifting the setting from Greece to Japan, by transforming Melos into a man in a business suit, and converting the story into a live-action film with 2D CG. The story has a unique worldview which combines traditional Japanese elements with the latest technology.
