Depopulated Temples of Commerce

This digital photo series focuses on the unemployment rate among low-skilled workers and the decline of labor unions in Los Angeles, California U.S.A. The way in which subjects are photographed in this series of eight works makes them look inorganic, like miniature models. The impression of exclusion, of an absence of space for living things, throws into stark relief the depopulated and dereliction that is Los Angeles’s current reality.
