Outline

This work is a semi-stereoscopic, satirical offering that takes nine scenes at the center of Michelangelo’s fresco on the Sistine Chapel ceiling and transmutes them to the contemporary scene. For example, the scene where God Divides Light from Darkness is transposed to “Net Cafe Refugees” and Noah and His Family Make a Sacrifice after the Flood to “The Idol Boom.” By using world-famous work, the artist gives an unsettling jolt to contradictions and faddish and problematic images.
