Fire Embroidery – Beyond Ishikari Sheets

This installation was presented as one of the projects in the Sapporo International Art Festi- val 2017. Based on poet YOSHIMASU Gozo’s representative work, Ishikari Sheets, this art work goes to the heart of that work and its rep- resentation of the gap between voice and words. The video installation recreates the pro- cess by which the poem was written, focusing on a video playing a full reading of YOSHIMA- SU’s Ishikari Sheets and a multi-channel audio production.
