Ichi-F: A Worker’s Graphic Memoir of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant

The author of this manga has been working at the Fukushima nuclear plant known to insiders as “1F” since the summer of 2012, a year after the earthquake disaster of 2011. It is a work of straightforward eyewitness reportage. From conditions inside the plant to the gradual process of recovery in Fukushima, he depicts the daily lives of workers determined to stay on till their workplace is completely dismantled.
