Thi s work centers on the executioner, Charles-Henri SANSON, who lived during the French Revolution and executed King Louis XVI. While in anguish over his engagement in brutal executions, he embraced the high ideal of abolishing the death penalty. A historical manga which portrays the way he lived, and nobly faced up to his cruel fate.
