A collaboration by WATANABE Shinichiro (director) and KANNO Yoko (music), this is an animated version of the manga Sakamichi no Apol lon (Kids on the Slope) by KODAMA Yuki. The setting is Nagasaki in the 1960s, when Kaoru, a naïve transfer student, meets free-spirited classmate Sentaro and discovers jazz. A tale of youth and dizzying encounters with friendship, love, and music.
