Lightness

An account of the year after the 2015 attack on the editorial department of Charlie Hebdo by one who miraculously survived. Catherine lost 12 co-workers and feels she has lost her lightness. She tries to overcome her trauma by immersion in art and travels to Italy to experience sculptures, paintings, and architecture. While closely describing the trajectory of the heart’s recovery, this work also suggests a relationship between art and therapy.
