Outline

The faces are distorted and the skin stretched as patterns begin to emerge. In this work, people’s bodies, completely unclothed, undergo a variety of transformations. The threads adhering to their skin are captured using the analog technique of reverse play-back. The title suggests the boundaries of perception and ability. The pain we experience visually is not an actual physical sensation, and as a result, the work seems to be asking us whose pain it is.
