To save the life of their younger sister Himari, the brothers Kanba and Shoma search for the “pingdrum” along with Ringo Oginome who, believing in her own destiny, makes the future events written in the diary come true. Scenes of the past mingle with those of the present in a complicated blend of their various speculations as the characters are led to their meeting with destiny. Featuring novel artwork and cleverly paced plot development, the work has also become known for the humor of set phrases such as “Survival strategy!” which Himari is wont to cry out under the influence of the penguin hat.
