Outline

An animation in typography with the text from Oscar Wilde’s The Happy Prince being written with charcoal. In the screen, the meaning contained in the artistically written letters with charcoal takes shape as a voice reads the story. The word “swallow,” for example, turns into a bird and flies away. The images arise conceptually from these personifications of the letters, bringing the work near to the true meaning of animation.
