Sotetsu totetsumonaku nami (Cycad, inordinate ordinary)

An installation consisting of video subtitles and a device that automatically operates an old rhythm machine. Under mechanical control, the rhythm machine to playback rhythm patterns plays (reproduces) music. While addressing desires in the music culture of reproduction the work contemplate, through mechanical intervention, the presence of bygone electronic musical instruments and the relationship between different music and technologies.
