Sugababe is a living replica of Vincent van GOGH’s ear, containing natural van GOGH genetic material (Lieuwe van GOGH cells) andengineered components. Plutarch’s Theseus paradox is the literary basis for the project, focusing on a particular form of human replication. A sound installation generates simulated nerve impulses in response to speech.
