This project consists of portrait photos of one pedigreed cat each from 36 different breeds by a prominent advertisement and fashion photographer, the expressive faces that capture the characteristics of the individual cats loom against the pitch-black background. The La Perm fixing the beholder in a stare, the Maine Coon issuing a threat, the Persia staring up at the sky: their expressions are as varied as the full range of human emotions.
