The Poem

This animation was created using papercutting and is based on the theme of creating poetry. Set in Ancient China, travelers search for a plum blossom during a snowstorm. Deep in a valley far from the sunlight, is a tree that is the last to bloom each year. There, the tree battles snow and frost. The animation includes a poem about the plum blossom by LU You (1125 –1210), a poet from the Southern Song Dynasty.
