Outline

A tree branch shudders, and a fluorescent light at the top of the branch goes on and off in an irregular flicker. There is an electrode at the other end of the branch and abutting on a steel plate. The force from a vibration motor connected to the plate causes minute movements of the electrode, which manipulates the on-off switch. The title“Twilight”means the dim light during the morning and evening, the ambiguous ;luminosity that is neither day nor night. A boundary space is generated that encompasses lightness and dark, organic and inorganic, and nature and artificiality.
