HIROKANE Kenshi

Born in Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1947. Graduated from Waseda University with a law degree. Worked in the advertising department of the Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. for four years. He made his debut in 1974 when his work Kaze Kaoru was nominated for the Shogakukan Big Comic Award. His most notable works are Human Scramble (original story by Masao Yajima), Hello, Hari-Nezumi, Last News (original story by Naoki Inose), Kacho Kosaku Shima, Kaji Ryusuke no Gi. His work Like Shooting Stars in the Twilight won the Big Comic Original Award and Bucho Kosaku Shima is serialized in the Comic Morning Weekly. He has also won the 30th Shogakukan Manga Award and the 15th Kodansha Manga Award.
