Born in Kouchi Prefecture in 1945. Left Musashino Art University before graduation. 1968 Made his debut in the magazine Manga Story. 1970 Gained popularity with his serialized nonsense manga Himiko. Afterwards, his manga Akabei was serialized in Manga Action, Kessaku Story (Kessaku Monogatari) and Big Comics. Akabei is still published today. 1997 His work Shin Sen Gumi won an award in the Bungeishunju Manga Awards.
