a canvas of 10 minute

A work created by synthesizing videos and photos by the artist with drawings based on those images. The artist draws atop scenes captured in an instant by the camera, then recaptures fragments of those scenes. The silent video appears on a square monitor mounted at the same height as a painting. By allowing viewers to vicariously experience how pictures are drawn, the work examines how we view and remember the world.
