AIUEO SAKUBUN RAP PROJECT

As 70 years have passed since the end of World War II, this is a project in which thoughts of peace are expressed through rap. Participants are asked to write lyrics using the seven hiragana letters that form the phrase “he-i-wa-wo-ne-ga-u (pray for peace)”, and sing their “true feelings” in rap style. Participants from different races and nationalities, whose ages range from first graders to 85 year-olds, try their hands at rap to think about and express peace through music.
