ASSAULT

Responding to the recent return of military firearms in public spaces across Europe, ASSAULT brings the conflicting ideas of clean techno-consumerism and dirty battlefield warfare to a material collision. The artist fired an AK-47 assault rifle at an iPad and made high-frame-rate video and sound recordings of the bullet hitting the screen. The recorded video and sound are played forward and backwards in an endless loop on a functioning iPad.
