Outline
The 24-episode animated series is an adaptation of the manga artist SAMURA Hiroaki’s masterful debut, Blade of the Immortal (Kodansha). An undying man known to have slain a hundred samurai, Manji crosses paths with Rin, whose parents were murdered by the cadre known as Itto-ryu. Vowing vengeance on her behalf, Manji engages the Itto-ryu in fierce battle. The graphic clashing of swords and rending of flesh are drawn and filmed meticulously.
