Circling the Mountain

A researcher orchestrates a variety of files on his touchscreen device. Although the files’ sources are never fully revealed, it becomes clear that they all refer to humanity’s relationship with stone: an enduring conduit of self-expression and communication. Viewers are immersed in the researcher’s obsession, which starts in England’s Lake District and spirals into fiction. The film leaves them questioning how to extract meaning from the mountain of information.
