These graphic works are made with blueprints of the sort used for architectural drawings. When exposed to light, the images gradually blur and fade. Based on the Noh plays Hagoromo and Kagetsu, the works portray airplanes taking off from or landing on airport runways, but in the guise of young boys and girls dancing across the tarmac. Day t ime depar tures appear as blueprint positives and nighttime arrivals as negatives.
