Desilusiones ópticas

An interactive installation in which the faces of missing persons from Argentina’s military dictatorship era are projected onto confetti when it is thrown into the air by the viewer. Confetti is a symbol of the World Cup held in 1978. The work suggests that the soccer event was used as a means to conceal the state terrorism by the dictatorship born out of the military coup of 1976.
