Drawn Yourself

When a person stands in front of a piece of paper attached to a wall, their portrait gradually appears on the paper. In this “interaction with oneself via paper,” the viewer experiences real-time change as well as a sense of materiality in the analog, everyday presence of paper and ink. The work utilizes facial recognition by camera and color control of thermosensitive material by laser.
