“Greeum” is a Korean word meaning “longing for.” A demon-like creature, a gorilla, a monster with viscera spilling out of it, a one-eyed woman lying prone: a succession of figures emerge, none of them beautiful, but all conveying a kind of gentle sorrow. The unique hand-drawn and colored artwork set against dreamy, continuous low-key music brings out a tranquility in these misshapen creatures that awakens an emotion inexpressible in words.
