A chronicle of police officers assigned to police box duty. Although they are white-collar gov- ernment employees, what they do is blue-collar work. KAWAI ended up a police officer due to her desire to find a stable job, and FUJI is a beautiful former expert criminal investigator who was demoted to police box duty for her power harassment against a young detective. The author, who is a former police officer, por- trays their work with much realism.
