Hitchhiking project

The Hitchhiking project consists of virtual hitchhiking trips, made by communicating via Skype with passersby, who are asked to carry the device to a requested destination. The device is a suitcase equipped with a monitor that is connected with the artists via Skype. The trips are recorded via GPS on a map, so that the location of the device is always known. It is an exploration of the interaction between the unpredictable unfolding of events that occurs in real space and the information exchanged in real time via virtual space.
