Honda Kano kono Hondana ((Honda Kanoko’s Bookshelves))

Kyusaku sneaks into his adolescent daughter Kanoko’s room to check out her bookshelf in search of topics he can talk about with her. What he finds are eccentric books in the genre of ankoku bungaku (“dark literature”). As he reads, we see the story unfolding visually in his mind. Then he tries to use what he read to en- gage with Kanoko in some way. Each story introduces a new piece of dark literature, giving a fresh impression every time.
