Reason for Award
This animated film has been a great hit. It is fun to recall what Howl did and said, and to think of the meaning of this for ourselves afterwards. This film provides us with a perfect example of entertainment and leaves us feeling both excited and happy after watching it. BAISYO Mitsuko’s natural depiction of Sophie, and MIWA Akihiro’s protean performance, which convinced us that he is a natural for the role of the Witch of the Waste, made the characters truly live.
