Outline
There is a bowl in the shape of an eyeball fills with black ink. A suspended writing tool invites the audience to touch the“ink pupil”and write. However, when the audience takes the writing tool to the pupil, the ink is sucked down into the eyeball, and the audience cannot dip the nib in the ink at all. So close, yet there is a gap that is never to be bridged. The installation shows that linguistic expression and the experience of pain are mutually dependent.
