Honnoji Academy is ruled through terror and violence by student council president KIRYUIN Satsuki, who has control over the special “Goku Uniforms” which bestow superhuman abilities on their wearers. MATOI Ryuko, a schoolgirl seeking revenge for her father’s murder, transfers to the school with the scissor-shaped longsword left behind at the scene of the crime. Though made using 3D computer graphics, the style of the artwork feels like old hand-drawn cell animation.
